Is Microsoft Azure right for our business?
Most mid-market businesses get value from Azure for at least some workloads (Microsoft 365 already lives there, identity is most consistent in Entra ID, AVD is competitive for remote workforce). Some workloads should stay on-prem (legacy LOB, regulated, latency-sensitive). We assess actual workloads and recommend the right mix.
What’s Azure Virtual Desktop?
AVD is Microsoft’s cloud-hosted desktop infrastructure. Users access a Windows desktop hosted in Azure from any device. Sized for actual user count, scales up and down with demand, integrates cleanly with Microsoft 365 and Entra ID.
How does Hi-Tek handle migrations?
Workload assessment first, then a phased migration plan with cutover and rollback procedures. Migrations executed by our in-house team, not subcontracted to a vendor’s professional services.
Do you only do Azure?
We’re Microsoft Solutions Partner certified, so Azure is our primary cloud. We support businesses with workloads on AWS or other clouds as part of their managed environment but generally recommend consolidation to Azure for new projects.
How do you size for cost?
We size for actual workload patterns: peak demand, average utilization, business hours vs after-hours. Reserved instances and license rationalization where they fit. Quarterly cost review prevents surprise bills.
What about hybrid?
Hybrid environments are common for mid-market clients. We design with hub-and-spoke topology, identity continuity (Entra Connect / Hybrid Join), and policy consistency across on-prem and cloud.
Do you handle Microsoft 365 too?

What about disaster recovery?
Azure Site Recovery for VM-based workloads, Azure Backup for files and databases, immutable storage layers for ransomware survival, documented RTO and RPO per workload. Restoration tested.
