What Else Does Hi-Tek Deliver?

Beyond core managed IT, Hi-Tek delivers three round-out services that clients regularly need: hardware procurement at cost-plus through our Dell, Lenovo, and Microsoft partner relationships; structured cabling and physical-layer infrastructure work for new builds, expansions, and re-cabling; voice and unified communications including Microsoft Teams Phone, traditional VoIP, and contact center where applicable. Available as part of an existing engagement or as standalone projects.

What’s In Additional Services

Procurement And Hardware Lifecycle

Hardware procurement at cost-plus through our partner relationships (Dell Gold, Lenovo, Microsoft Solutions Partner, Sophos, Datto). Hardware lifecycle planning: refresh planning, asset tracking, warranty management, secure disposal. We watch the bill so it doesn’t surprise you.

Structured Cabling And Infrastructure

Cat6 and fiber cabling for new builds, expansions, re-cabling projects, and multi-site rollouts. Wireless site surveys and AP placement. Server room and IDF/MDF buildouts. Coordinated with the construction or build-out timeline so IT isn’t the gating item.

Voice And Unified Communications

Microsoft Teams Phone, traditional VoIP, contact center where applicable. Number porting, call routing, IVR design, integration with the rest of your Microsoft 365 environment. SIP trunking and PSTN connectivity managed end to end.

Multi-Site Network Buildouts

New office, new warehouse, new clinical site? We design and build the network: switching, routing, wireless, security perimeter, identity integration with the rest of your environment. Each new site joins the same operational standard.

Hardware-As-A-Service Models Where They Fit

For some clients, financed hardware-as-a-service (laptops, workstations, infrastructure) is preferable to up-front capex. Available as part of the engagement structure where it fits.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are these services standalone or only as part of managed IT?

Both. Most clients engage Additional Services as part of an existing managed IT engagement (it’s the natural place to source hardware, plan refreshes, run cabling for a new site). Standalone project engagements are also possible for specific scopes.

How does hardware procurement work?

Cost-plus pricing through our Dell Gold, Lenovo, and Microsoft Solutions Partner relationships. We pass through partner pricing to clients. No hidden markup.

Do you do cabling and infrastructure work yourselves?

Yes. We have an in-house infrastructure team for cabling, wireless surveys and installs, server room buildouts, and physical-layer work. Coordinated with managed IT so the cabling doesn’t end up as someone else’s problem when it’s commissioned.

What about Microsoft Teams Phone vs traditional VoIP?

Microsoft Teams Phone is the modern Microsoft-stack option that integrates cleanly with the rest of M365. Traditional VoIP (third-party providers) is appropriate where Teams Phone doesn’t fit or where existing investments need to continue. We help clients pick and run either.

Do you do contact center?

For mid-market clients with customer service operations, yes. Microsoft-stack contact center where it fits, third-party contact center where it fits better. Integration with CRM, telephony, and AI assistance.

Can you handle a new office buildout end to end?

Yes. Site survey, network design, cabling, infrastructure procurement, security perimeter, identity integration, voice setup, deployment, and managed IT handoff. Coordinated with the construction timeline.

How does pricing work for project-based services?

Fixed-fee milestones for scoped projects. Hardware at cost-plus. T&M (time and materials) is minimized to almost zero — we’d rather scope and quote than bill hourly.

Do you handle multi-site rollouts?

Yes. Multi-site network rollouts are common for distribution, healthcare, and PE-backed clients. Documented playbook ensures each new site joins the same operational standard.
